RECENT PROJECTS
Baker Concrete/Brice Building: Honda A2 Automotive plant in Lincoln, Alabama. Cherokee pumped 45,000 cubic yards in 3 months with no break downs. Project manger for Baker was Randy Nehlan and project superintendent for Baker Concrete was Joe Botto.
Hensel-Phelps: Atlanta/Hartsfield airport new air traffic control tower. Cherokee pumped 2,200 matt foundation along with 3,000 additional yards in building structures and parking deck. Project superintendent was Lane Griffin.
Hoar Construction: WC Bradley Building in Columbus, Georgia. Cherokee pumped 15,000 yards in four story concrete structure and adjacent parking deck. The project superintendent was Joe Freeman and assistant superintendent was Charlie Ricks.
Batson-Cook: Troup County Government Center in LaGrange, Georgia. Cherokee pumped 13,000 yards in five story concrete structure along with a three story parking deck. The project manager was Paul Meadows and the project superintendent was Ed Ramsur.
VCC: Ikea Furniture at Atlantic Station in Atlanta, Georgia. Cherokee pumped 10,000 yards of concrete on the south’s largest furniture store along with a parking deck. The project superintendent was Rusty Mainer.
Archer-Western: Liberty Street Parking Deck in downtown Savannah. Cherokee pumped 5,000 yards. The project superintendent was David Powers.
RJ Griffin & Company: John B. Amos Cancer Center in Columbus. Cherokee pumped 8,000 yards on a new cancer center. The project superintendent was Glenn Cadle and the project manager was Stephen Strickland.
TIC: Casey Canel project through downtown Savannah. Cherokee pumped over 30,000 yards. The project superintendent was Chuck Hucks. The project manager was Charlie George.
RJ Griffin & Company: St. Josephs/Candler Cancer Center in Savannah, Georgia. Cherokee pumped 12,000 on a new cancer center and adjacent parking deck. The project superintendent was Jim Myer and project manager was Martin Steineker.
Scott Bridge Company: I-95 expansion in Brunswick, Georgia. Cherokee pumped over 20,000 yards on thirteen bridges. The project superintendent was Bill Johnson.
Carter Concrete: Green and Purple parking decks for Medical Center of Central Georgia. Cherokee pumped 9,300 yards. The project manager was Eric Ristec and the project superintendent was Andy Higgins.
Formworks- On the Miami Dolphin stadium addition, Cherokee used multiple boom trucks to place concrete around the perimeter of the structure. Formworks superintendent was Jerry Brown
Carter Concrete- The IDI project near Atlanta was a large computer facility in which Cherokee used multiple boom trucks to pump over one mile vertical walls and slabs for Carter. Carter Concrete’s superintendent was Gary Parker, and the project manager was Kirby Yoder.
Potter Concrete- On the Target Distribution Center in Savannah, Georgia, Cherokee pumped over 1.5 million square feet of slab along with tilt-up concrete. Several of the pours used multiple machines pumping over a 1,000 yards per pour. The Potter superintendent was Rene Monjaraz and their project manager was Brent Cox.
Lithko Contracting- On the second phase of the Target Distribution in Savannah, Georgia, Cherokee placed over 1.2 million square feet of slab on grade concrete along with tilt-up for Lithko. Their project manager was Aaron Curtis.
Batson Cook- On the Ellis Square parking garage in downtown Savannah, Cherokee has pumped over 40,000 yards on this below grade structure with several different boom trucks. Larry Turner was the project superintendent.
Jay-Ton Construction- On the KIA manufacturing plant in West Point, Georgia, Cherokee placed over 30,000 yards of concrete in pits, slab on grade, and elevated structures with several different boom trucks. Shane Bates was Jay Ton’s superintendent.
Baker/Formworks- Cherokee placed 130,000 yards of concrete on the MIC Project; this is a 3.4 million square parking deck at the Miami Airport. The project was managed by Ray Pisaneschi and Steve Binford with Billy “Dogman” Burns and Rick Campbell as the project superintendents.
United Forming- Cherokee is contracted to place 200,000 yard of concrete at the Thyssen-Krupp plant in Mobile, Alabama. At this steel mill, United is utilizing two Schwing 45 meters and two Schwing 52 meters. The project manager for United is Scott Davis and the superintendent is Brandon Salts.
Baker Concrete- Cherokee is providing a 58 & 52 meter concrete pumps to Baker at Thyssen-Krupp plant in Mobile, Alabama. Our pumps will place 230,000 yards for Baker over a nine month time frame on this project. The project manager for Baker Concrete is Randy Nehlan.
Holder Concrete- Cherokee utilized numerous boom pumps to place 20,000 yards in a 8 week time frame for Holder on their Project Spirit project located in Alpharetta, Georgia. Randy McGill was the general superintendent for Holder.
